Dennis Capps, 73, a native and life-long resident of Henderson County, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 after a short illness.

     He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Capps and his mother Belle R Capps; and a son,  Dennis Edward “Tad” Capps.

     Dennis was a member of Refuge Baptist Church. He retired from Vulcan Materials in Hendersonville, NC and was a member of Kedron Lodge 0387 of Hendersonville, NC. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy and was a big Dale Earnhardt fan and a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan.

      He is survived by his wife, Christine Capps; two daughters, Denise Riley and her husband, Nick; and Renee Mashburn; a sister, Marie Burns and her husband Norman. Gramps had five grandkids, Montana, Dakota, Auggie, Jordan, and Christine; nephews, Tony Burns and Dennis Burns and his wife, Christy; several other nieces and nephews; great-niece, Savannah Roberts; great-nephew, Brayden Burns and a great-grandniece, Elizabeth Roberts.

    A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, January 4, 2021 in the Chapel in the Pines of Jackson Funeral Service. Pastor Roy Perry will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
