E. Ellen Sutter passed away December 28, 2023 at Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC at the age of 73. She was born July of 1950 in Mansfield, OH to Roy A. and Clarabell A. Neighbors Huffman. Ellen was employed by Jay Industries for many years until she moved to Hendersonville, NC in 2002. In Hendersonville, Ellen was very proud of her time working in the local office of Senator Elizabeth Dole and providing in-home health assistance to numerous people who eventually became a part of an extended family of friends.
Always on the go, Ellen loved to travel, play cards and laugh. Her greatest joys were her grandsons Blake Stiteler, Oak Wallace, Koata Wells, and Mica Wallace.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Sandra Huffman, Mary Ellison, and Kendra Huffman.
Ellen is survived by her daughter, Nicole (Robert) Wallace of North Carolina; son, Robert Stiteler Jr. of Ohio, and numerous loved ones who called her “Aunt Ellen” or “Nana” whether they were blood related or not.
Services will be held in Hendersonville, NC at a later date.
