Read MoreKaren Elizabeth Reibold, of Hendersonville, NC died peacefully Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Pardee Hospital surrounded by her beloved family. She was born February 14, 1953 to John Edward Salko and Lorraine Elizabeth Salko. Karen grew up in Connecticut and attended Norwalk Hospital School of Nursing. She met the love of her life, Dr. Robert Reibold, while caring for patients at Bridgeport Hospital. They married and started their family in Superior, Wisconsin before moving to Hendersonville, NC in 1986. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents and is survived by her brother, John Salko; her children, Rebecca Thayer, Jennifer Reibold, Sarah Shaw(Jake) and Camila Reibold; grandchildren Isabella, Lucas, Maddy, Taylor, Sofie and Libby; and great grandchildren, Harper and Ezra. Cece was known for her funny commentary, singing, and dancing like no one was watching. She brought brightness, love, and sunshine to everyone around her. Services are private. Jackson Funeral Service is honored to serve the Reibold family.
